Handmade in Britain returned for the 4th time to their most favorite venue Chelsea Old Town Hall , London (27th – 30th October 2010). The show was visited by The Deputy Mayor, Councillor Maighread Condon – Simmonds alongside other well known faces such as Channel 4 news reader Jon Snow and editors from national and local press.
The popularity of Handmade in Britain is growing as more people are aware of the show and value our efforts to promote and support British Designer-makers.
Despite the financial crisis which has taken Britain by storm, the right people walked through the door who not only bought but also commissioned several designers for Xmas gifts. We received an excellent feedback from the visitors this year for the standard of the work at the show.
This year the show was supported by Eat Natural who provided their delicious healthy bars for the visitors and Megan's Restaurant in Kings Road who provided mouth watering canapés for the private view evening guests.
For those of you who could not attend the show this year, here are some visual highlights from the private view evening.
If you attended our show, please let us know what did you think of the show as your feedback and continued support is extremely valuable to us.

ReplyDeletelooks great, will you ever take the show to scotland? we have some great designers up here too and people who want to buy british more often but london is a long way to go.
ReplyDelete@Frances We are definitely looking into bringing the show to Edinburgh, We are currently researching on the venue. Where do you think is the best place and what time of the year would you suggest
ReplyDeleteyes, spread outside of London. The rest of us do want to see this talent too! There are a few shows in Wales but none that showcase BRITISH talent. Please do a show this way too
ReplyDeleteI agree with the above, it is good to spread the show outside of London. However I must say I really enjoyed the show a couple of years ago in Bath, but it didn't happen this year I am glad you are coming back. Always a lovely show

ReplyDeleteHow about france? or Germany? Show off our talent there, we always get the 'german craftmakers' doing shows near us it's a great way to widen the amount of people that appreciate our designers and their work.
ReplyDeleteAs said before keep up the good work, I look forward to your next show
