The Future is Bright....The Future is Handmade

This year has seen us promoting British craftsmanship internationally with shows in Turkey as well as the UK, but 2011 sees Handmade in Britain spreading its wings further with plans for our first ever show in Scotland; launch of the Handmade in Britain book; the return of the Bath show and the start of the Business Mentor Program.

Best of Britain to show in Scotland

We want to know your thoughts on our 2011 plans, we have had a great response from Scottish designer-makers as well as fans of handmade contemporary design north of the border so let us know what you think about a Handmade in Britain Show in Edinburgh, what would you want to see?

Read all about it

Yes it’s true, Handmade in Britain will be launching a book in Autumn 2011 showcasing 100 of the most talented British designer-makers. Not only will the book showcase the designer’s work but it will also give a personal insight to each individual designer-maker’s inspirations, ideas, philosophy and their creative lives. The book  launched prior to the London Olympics will also be sold during the games to highlight and showcase British Craftsmanship to a worldwide audience. Are you a designer that would like to be featured or is there a designer you would like to see in the book? Get in touch for further details

Back to Bath

Handmade in Britain returns with a bang to Bath next year after a one year hiatus due to our international shows. The show will exhibit talented designer makers from a wide variety of backgrounds, expect to see your favorite exhibitors along side new emerging young talent. Have you been to our show before? What would you like added to the show, we are always looking to make each show bigger and better than the last, so comment; tweet; email in and let us know.

  3. Dear Malcom,
We will definitely focus on Scottish Designers and we have received a lot of interest from the designers. So lets hope we can materialise our plan for introducing the show to Edinburgh in 2011
